Sky Broadband
Sky offers far more than just TV packages to its customers, with several broadband deals suiting a range of different needs. From economy offers to high speed connections and some incredible introductory offers, Sky Broadband could be well placed to offer you the best deal for your internet needs.
Some great Sky Broadband offers are combined with the other services offered by the company, such as their TV deals and phone lines. Don’t worry if you are tied into contracts with other providers though, because you can still take advantage of Sky Broadband without the need for the other two.
Sky Broadband Tariffs
Without further ado let’s consider the different tariffs that Sky have to offer when it comes to your internet connection. There are three different packages on offer; to help you to know which is the most suitable for you here is the essential information for each:
The Base Package
If you don’t use the internet a lot then Sky’s Base package could be just what you are looking for. It’s cheap and cheerful, offering 2Mb of download speed and a 2GB download limit each month. If checking Facebook and your emails are all that you use the internet for then why pay extra for a connection speed and download limit that you won’t need?
The Everyday Package
The next Sky Broadband package is known as Everyday because it is suitable for checking your favourite websites every day. With 10Mb download speeds and a limit of 10GB a month in downloads, this deal is suitable if you use the internet a lot, but still don’t download a lot of movies or other particularly large files.
The Unlimited Package
Finally we reach the unlimited broadband package from Sky; Unlimited. Doing exactly what it says on the tin, the unlimited tariff includes an unlimited download limit and up to 20Mb download speeds! If you use the internet a lot and require fast download and upload speeds then this is, without doubt, the best deal for you.
Sky Broadband Offers
As with many other companies, Sky will often entice customers with introductory offers such as a reduced rate for the first few months of your contract. Alternatively you can also pick up some great deals by combining your phone line with your broadband connection, as Sky offer a cheaper line rental price than BT.
What to Watch Out For
To save being hit with a larger bill than anticipated you should always keep an eye out for the following when taking out a new broadband contract:
- Is the price advertised the actual monthly deal or an introductory offer? Ensure you know what you will be paying after the first couple of months.
- Don’t forget to factor line rental into your costs. If you already have a BT phone line then you will already be paying line rental, if not this will be an additional charge on top of your phone and broadband contracts.
- What are you getting for free and what do you need? Sky Broadband deals come with a free wireless router valued at £50, but not all providers are as generous.
